Alpine Sports always had the best adverts in Skateboard! magazine. Myself, I bought a Skuda in the Summer of 77 from Slick Willies, to replace my old Surf Flyer. Still got it.

Can anyone recommend some good wheels for sliding?
Ive always wanted to do that slidey shit, but never managed the most basic of powerslides. My current wheels are supposedly 98a, do I need to go harder?
-

it's all about unweighting... if that's a word. you can slide the softest wheels if you're so inclined.

YouTube - The Custom 35 Longboard by Original Skateboards
i will be purchasing this in the summer when i get paid, love it!
i have a nice alva retro board and my enjoi trick deck, i started skating when i was about 6 and everyone was pretty stoked because they thought i was going to be some child prodigy kinda thing, but i just never got better! i still have most of my tricks down but compared to other guys my age im just shite.
i prefer cruising around the hills in wales on my dads longboard rather than ripping up the southbank. -

Is that pinback on that video?

the song?
yes. -
• #112
WTF was that for?
-
• #113
So Im assuming the current trend in retro cruiser skateboards will pass and theyre shite to ride?
I have a small budget and will only use a board to bum around on. I'd like it small but nearly bought a kids one in error.
In short, what should I be looking for as a noob?
Thought I'd pop in to the local friendly bike forum to ask. -

They're rubbish.
Get a real one. I have both of these kicking around doing nothing.
The top one is an alu vert deck with wooden nose/tail. Fitted with trackers and 3dm downhill wheels.
Great for rolling to the shops, crushes stones, curbs and children as it thunders along. It has nice bits but doing nothing so shoot me an offer.
pm if interested ;)
I also have a Alva Lords of Dogtown single kick tail deck(proper quality build, not a cheapy) painted by my old flatmate xenz but not sure if its for sellz. Doesn't get mo hipster than that. -

Ah as I suspected.
I'm travelling atm so casually looking at them as I go. Just wanted some info on what I should be looking for.
Will drop you a pm if / when I'm back though, cheers dude. -

Bump.
I haven't skated in a decade, but I saw a few people out in the sun today in the park with big grins on their face. What's good out there for an 85kg guy to roll around on at night (when nobody can see him) and carve on smooth park paths? I'm thinking big wheels to annihilate small stones and bumps, because I don't think I'll bounce up from falls like I used to...

Both the rad whips pictured above are still for sells. The alu vert deck with massive wheels would be my board of choice to face the zombie apocalypse/rolling around town. Goes like the clappers and super quiet on those wheels.
Pm if you're interested. Can slap those wheels/trucks on the wood deck if you'd prefer. -

Hey TheSadR
I have one of these in very good condition

A couple of scuffs on the ends, main graphic should be unharmed, will be checking the deck very soon and will have photos also. you know anyone interested in a bit of Hecox stuff or a really nice deck?
Cheers

I couldn't imagine rolling around on anything that I could pop up a kerb.

I was planning to make an advert to sell my Santa Cruz Tom Knox 'Firepit' setup. Of interest to anyone on here?
-
• #124
Anyone selling any old skate stuff? Im really after a set off santa cruise slime balls/oj's and bennetts trucks.
-
• #125
Slime Balls were 80s, but Bennett trucks were 70s. Don't really go together.
I've got some Deathbox Dodos, and some blank 80s wheels if you're interested? Also some 80s Indies.
[QUOTE=d14vd_h;569590]hey mate i go to stockwell and just cruise
