Been thinking after Spurs performance on Thursday and the weekend, that maybe its a blessing that some players were signed later in the window. I know ideally you'd want all your players together to bond and learn about each other and how each other likes to play within the system. Leading to a faster start and more cohesion. But it seems like with the staggered way we've sort of come together that we could get timely boosts throughout the season.
Hitting the ground running:
Capoue, Paulinho, Soldado, Eriksen
Still to make an impact:
Lamela, Chadli
Not played yet:
Lennon, Chirches
It seems like Lamela could take to the turn of the year to get upto speed, eased in over the Europa games, Lennon is yet to regain fitness and chirches could offer more ball playing, initiating play from the back, and with Kaboul being eased back into the first team and Capoue to return from injury after an impressive start, we might have an overlap of players getting into the swing of things as others fade/get hit by the first season premier league stress hammer into and over the Christmas period.
Can you tell I'm really optimistic about this season.
Ps Chelsea fans, what say you about mourinho's demotion of mata behind Oscar in the no.10 stakes, saying he has to do a job for the team and oscar is the better player for him sitting behind the striker.. Will mata take it on the chin and knuckle down or will be look for an out in January?
