Great pictures JC!
How many points did I get for the track stand comp?

First night of track here in Auckland. Fuck me, I forgot how steep the banking is. Its like riding roand a leaky, bumpy wall. Great fun though. Teribble at the match sprints but 3rd in the devil. Quite chuffed.
(not my photo, or even me in the photo, just showing how bloody steep it is)

That's cool!

Good photos. The track looks awesome under lights. Mad skillz from the juniors.

I didn't even bother with the track stand - shit at them. Rudy did ok until Jim started putting him off.

In discussion about the track stand points, but I think it will just be B cat points. Good result though - 4th place. (first senior!)

Ah, thought it would be something like 40 points. :)
Oh well... -
• #435
That was my original plan, but by that measure Charlotte would win the women's league outright!

Those that didn't start off with hands on the drops were disqualified I hope?

Also as JC has said, your opportunity to comment on next year's TL format.

Track League 2014 will start April 2. That means 3 1/2 months more training.

As a starter pharoahsanders, what's the best way to get involved as soon as possible?
Starts with the beginners sessions, moving onto intermediate ones?
When do these start back up?
I'm sure the league is beyond reach, atleast in the short term unless there is a Cat4 race setup?
I've done a 6 hour coaching session at Newport Indoor with my road club, can that help with anything?

I haven't seen when normal Saturday sessions will resume, suspect March. You will need to do an induction, then basic training before progressing to intermediates, etc. There is going to be a clear progression/pathway for all riders regardless of experience level put in place this year, although I haven't seen details on how exactly that is going to work.
Watch the HHV Twitter feed and look at the web site, there is lots of information on there though I suspect it will need updating with some of the details of the new procedures. -

I'll just leave it here.
From this year onward all riders wishing to race in the adult categories at Track League (including youths wishing to ride with the adults) must pass a 2 stage accreditation system. With the growth in popularity of cycling, many more cyclists are taking up track cycling and racing. Rider safety is a priority for all involved at the Velodrome, and we want to make sure that all riders have the neccesary skills before allowing them to take part in more advanced sessions and races. Full details are available here http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/sessions_and_training/session_pathway/

I have my British Cycling Race licence this year and I have signed up to the Accreditation session on Wednesday 5th March so I can join the league this year.
Time for a 2014 HH Track league thread?
Here it is:

Yep.
2 of the kids Logan and Charlotte were the only ones to get that far. Disappointing performance from the seniors. - speaking as a past Track League track stand champion ;)
