  • Extensions and homemade discs FTW

Why so many HHS shot are taken in train stations?

  • It's a metsphor.

  • Because hhsb'ers slain it everywhere. No riding is actually done. Duh!

  • ^^Expensive but slow?

  • Cutting steerer, chamfering bb and misc bits and bobs still to do until "beater" is done. Tout mavic.

  • ^looking fwd to that!

Need tubs that's suited for a beater. Any ideas? Im thinking Vittoria rallys' actually.

  • Rallys are a bit crap Conti Giro's aren't much better
They're also a bit of a false economy IMHO. If you go for tubs with removable valve cores and fill 'em with Stans you don't have to worry about punctures.

Schwalbes (Montello) are pretty good as are Conti Sprinters. I keep meaning to try Challenge Volcano's too as they can be bought for cheaps.

If you are using them brklz I'd advise against tape, I tore the valve out of a corsa evo due to slippage between tub & tape doing epic skidz

  • Using it brklz but where I live it's flat and the roads are long with clear visability so I can modulate speed accordingly. Will check out the tyres mentioned.

  • Montello on offer at PX - £20
worth the extra ££ over Rally's

  • These are at opposite ends of the spectrum, but i really like both of these builds. The Carlton has the right amount of ratty beater class(though the stem could be slammed.....and a steel GB....also the saddle angle is a little off) and the Cinelli is eccentric and fun.....good work.

    Thanks,

Yeah, would love to slam the Carlton stem, but it is well and truly stuck fast - I've tried pretty much everything I can think of, but am wary to do more as I don't want to risk the forks. Anyone has any ideas for loosening or removing it, let me know.

The saddle will get altered, just need to ride it a bit more to find my best position for it, that's all.

  • Yea, thanks.

    I like the eccentric bit.

    spins bowtie

i would use coke. i had a stuck seat-post, nothing would budge it. put it in the bath upside down pored coke down the seat-tube, left it for three days. liberal amounts of plus gas(WD40 could also work) hay presto. came out.

  • Seems like a waste of coke...

  • seems like the only good use for coke!

  • WB40 =££££££

    Mix:
    and

Makes the same job ; )

    héhé...

  • I literally just been watching Mythbusters where they test coke on various things, didn't seem to do much for seized bolts...

  • NOS AX seatpost Gaston? Very nice.

I'll give you a game of darts if you're ever in London.

  • Thats what GLC are up to these days.

  • They've got a new album out soon I believe

  • Why so many HHS shot are taken in train stations?

The horizontal lines of the train tracks unconsciously complements to the horizontal line of the top tube.

  • Thank you for the invitation Regal if I go to london I would PM you and we'll do some of dart in a Pub.

To thank you for the invitation I make you see a picture of my future cooler build in progress...

It should be fun : Panaché 9s fake MS Columbus Thron...

  • very swaggy
