Coming up Oxford street from Marble Arch, got to the lights by John Lewis and the traffic had come to a stop because of a boat load of buses, traffic on the other side was flowing fine in the other direction. Suddenly this old dear starts to shuffle across the road totally obscured to the oncoming traffic by one of the buses, meanwhile, there's a bus coming the other way and muggins here is shouting at her 'Stop there's a bus coming!' Fortunately the bus driver was in a cautious mood so was going slow enough to stop, but when the woman finally noticed the bus as it braked in front of her she just started mouthing off not realising how close she came to getting squished.
