Why?
you hurt its feelings :( it has a lovely bottom
Edit: now looking at it again, it dose look very busy, it is only my beater though...
Sorry mate, I have a Guerc road bike, really love the brand. I love the older steel frames with that logo, really want a mint track bike from that era. I guess I would like to see that restored to it's former glory. Looks like it's a lot of fun though.

I like!Frame is probably a Dave Russel but not 100% sure as there is no marking anywhere at all. Front wheel is a destickered bontranger race-lite with the braking surface taped up . Its probably not the most sensible wheel for the abuse the bike gets but its holding up

Well, i got with the cable guides badly hacked off, dent in the top tube and paint wasn't great and didn't last long, there's isn't much to restore, its also pretty ideal for what i'm using it for.
now it has way to much character to get rid of the ratty look

ratty isn't a 'look'

it's a state of mind

fadez is good and i might well get it painted in a similar style when i get round to it. Wasn't expecting great things from the paint so alls good. Frame itself is great and that is the main thing

that panasonic isn't ratty at all?
-
• #7364
Raceblades are the most pointless of mudguards IMO.
I guess Crud Road Racers might just fit.
yeah, all that sitting around the tyres and blocking the water, they're pointless.

Well this is the Rat/Pub/Beater/Frankenbike thread. So not everyone will be a Rat...

My bike, don't know if it quite fits in this thread yet, but after some more riding it soon will.

Sorry, was getting fed up with all the comments at me earlier...
Wont let me rep you back

It's the not covering anything near your drivetrain or feet that makes them pointless. Sure they'll keep your bum dry but so will an ass saver or a seatpost mounted thing.

I really like my Raceblade's, the only bit that gets wet is my drivetrain, my feet stay dry. They're an arsehole to get in the right position and I've had to superglue them to stop them moving, but they do work well.

If it's raining heavily, an Ass Saver will not keep your arse dry.
I learnt that last night. Wet arse, wet thighs, wet lower back...

The only thing an ass saver will save is your hands from getting wet.

I may as well post another pic, because i'm going to do another post (to get out of the nursery :S)
Anyway if anyone cares it's a Hoffy brand (Queensland, Australia) built by Eric Hendren.
Thanks.
I want to get some black metal pedals and black stem at some point
