See above.
It's posible that it's a very old Gazelle. I don't know these frames so well.
Or another frame with a Gazelle head badge.
So bad, when people repaint such a nice frame, because you loose all information about it.Also the rear dropout and the finishing of the chain stays look a bit strange.
In combination with the falling top tube: maybe an old road frame with new, track dropouts? -

thanks, shame about the paint but the bottom bracket has 3201964 stamped on it which apparently dates it at 1978. Think it points to an7 more authentication or should i give it a miss

That frame number gives at least a bit confidence/trust that it's a Gazelle.

i tbh really dont think it is a gazelle. look at my build thread for a 77 one and it is totally different; lugs, seatstay arrangement. the seatstay does remind me of a brand bit it certainly isnt gazelle. is thrre next to the framenr also gazelle stamped in the bb? and what kind of bb shell is it?

I think if IF is a genuine Gazelle, it should be pre 1970.
Auction ended btw. -

I assume "Prijs" is price... but what does "N.o.t.k." mean?
-
• #1668
"nog overeen te komen" = "to be agreed on"
Wich means you'll have to discuss over the price with the seller :)

And looking at his other for sale items I think he will probably know what it's worth.

No aero lever attachment might cause issues as far as I've read in earlier posts. Lovely bike though.

In combination with the falling top tube: maybe an old road frame with new, track dropouts?I'm pretty sure your last guess is correct. The frame looks identical to an old Gazelle 'Sprinter Race'. As far as I can tell it's a semi-race/touring cycle at the lower end of Gazelle '60s/'70s output (although it seems to have 531 plain gauge tubes). They changed the dropouts and put on a fork from another frame, resulting in the lowering of the front.
Here's some pictures of an original one: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=241845

that is super cool...
wonder if he'll post it to Uk...
Certainly no Gazelle front fork.
But it absolutely looks like a 753 Gazelle frame.
In 1984, Gazelle didn't supply frames to Paragon RT yet.
But again, frame numbers are not that reliable.
Paragon had 2 'cross aces: Chris Young and David Baker.
This may be an ex-David Baker frame.
