Community based forum with fair prices monitored by the masses hereabouts. Thusly actual fair deals are possible.
Transactions are a lot easier if there is a huge reduction in confusion in terms of who has arranged to purchase something first.
Nobody wants this forum to become another outlet for mass classifieds with no relationships being built and no way to monitor / converse with sellers.
The forum - whilst global in interest is effectively local and generally circulates around face to face classifieds where goods can be inspected and discussed. This is obviously not law as there are many international types who are prepared to involve themselves in stuff here and contribute to items and feedback.
The list goes on, but it's in your interest if you reside here and want to trade here to reduce the facelessness of the classifieds marketplace. What you lose in potential customers you gain in friendly transactions and forum atmosphere.
Don't like it? Ebay.

This means you must remove your retrobike linky if you want to shift that frame here. Give it a go - it's nice here, you'll like it. Welcome by the way.

Thanks for the response. All fair points...though most of them apply to retrobike as well (nice work finding it!). I can understand not wanting spam and a million copies of things...
Its just that its a frame that would be of interest to fgss and retrobike people.Anyway I've not had much interest over there so I'll take it down and give it a shot here.
Just curious why there's no 'cross-posting' allowed in the classifieds..?
Basically I've got an early 60's English frame+fork for sale on another forum. I'm sure it would be of interest here.
The only reason I didn't put it here immediately is because I'm out of London until the end of the month.
