Ignoring the price difference for a moment, can anyone think of any major disadvantage of getting the hope hoops with straight-pull spokes instead of the regular j-bend ones?
Availability of spares could possibly be an issue when going into a shop, but a quick phonecall to hope would have them sent out pretty quickly ( and probably for free ). Hope hoops do come with spare spokes too.
I've had straight spokes on mavic wheelsets before with no issues.
Any thoughts or experience of these?
