Last time I was at a "normal/roadie" bicycle race (last month), more then half of the bikes were fitted with GP4000 tires. Maybe it's different in the UK, but here most roadies race on those tires. Talking about normal organised races, not the tour/giro etc. There were a few bikes running on Open Corsa / Corsa / Evo and even saw some Schwalbe and Michelin tires. Putting them on a fixed bike for skidding to the coffeeshop is a bad idea unless you don't mind replacing the rear tire every day.
It's a 330 TPI race tire, nothing more, nothing less.
