For Sale: Needs Repair Rossin SLX Frame and forks

Back again after the buyer dropped out after much faffing.

Looking for £56 posted for this 56x56 Rossin SLX in need of a new downtube.

At some point it's had a head-on collision, though the eBay seller denied all knowledge of this.

Forks aren't original and have Shimano dropouts - they're NOT Columbus Max, despite the stickers.

I've had a quote of about £125 for the repair but don't have the time or space for it right now.

Rides as is but it's far from ideal, the damage has meant the front end is very twitchy. The only damage seems to be a bulge in the downtube (as confirmed by the builder at Woodrup), all the lugs and stuff are fine and if the top tube does turn out to be bent (doesn't appear to be) then it'll be so slight that it can be pulled.

Anyway. It's a good project for someone, I'm sure.

Gonna give this until the end of today on here then close the thread and move it over to retrobike etc.

is it near the lug on the downtube where its bent dinged? hard to tell from the pictures

Yep, between lever bosses and headtube. It's hard to tell in photos because it's not that big.
I'm going by Woodrup's advice that it's probably unsafe at the moment.

It rides OK but the front end geometry definitely feels 'out'.

I do, but they were up for sale and subsequently dibsed a while ago. I'm just waiting to see what happens with some other bits before I let them go though.

For a bit more than £200 (buy + repair + sand/paint) you would get a lovely Rossin!!
