Hydration and nutrition being the two biggest enemies to any high intensity endurance sport.
No, that'd be oxygen transfer.
Hydration and nutrition as limiters come into play far more when the intensity is lower and the duration is longer.

Didn't someone come up with skin patches that measured hydration or did I just dream that?

not sure its worth getting in on this stuff yet, the technology is too immature better to wait until the market develops and the products are more useful

Early adopters help the market mature. I'm too old now to wait.

If you didn't see it then it's worth watching the Horizon programme about QS that was on a few weeks ago. Some quite interesting stuff in it. Think it was called "Monitor Me".

Quantified Self has been on my reader list for a while.

It's amazing how new agey this thread title is, especially compared with the monstrous nerdery contained within.

the one thing that drives me a little nuts is that there's no unified site to view everything.
fitbit is about the closest I can find, as it links to foodzy/myfitnesspal/etc... but not Strava (fucking Strava's fault). -

Every company is trying to own the whole thing, which means none of them share their data and all want to consume everyone else's.
It's stalemate... they're all shit.

so there's nothing ? I found Quantid but seems to be an app only. Also, doesn't have much intergration yet.
Human/API was interesting, but there's not much info about it
Well that ties in with what I'm being told - important but difficult to measure.
I agree that "more accurate" isn't really helpful and it's a claim I'm always wary of. But as I said I'm mainly just curious about interest/peoples use or experience as there are some other products on the market already. So for now the assumption would have to be that this could accurately measure your hydration levels and notify you.
I think the idea of the data being transmitted is more for professional sports.
