The third edition of the Dave Creasy Six will take place on 15th September 2013. The event honor the memory of Herne Hill stalwart and popular coach Dave Creasy. Dave loved the Ghent Sixes, hence the theme of this race day, which is organized by VC Londres, the club he helped establish. The 6 hour programme includes racing for youth riders, followed by the showcase, crowd-pleasing madison events, and non-madison support races.

This is a packed day of racing with a real party atmosphere and is a big hit with spectators. Whats more, entry for spectators is free! You can expect food, drink, a cheesy ‘90s soundtrack, an excitable MC and podium girls, and of course excellent racing entertainment. It all makes for an authentic day out, Belgie style. Entry is free for spectators. Follow the updates on www.twitter.com/DaveCreasySix

  • Won't be racing but very much looking forward to watching on Sunday.

  • is there a program for tomorrow anywhere?

  • You racing dimi?

  • Sure, why not. Making the most of what's left this year.

  • Good luck.

  • Heading down for 12.30-1ish to spectate and drink beer. What time will others be heading down?

  • Just got back from a ride. Going to eat some food and have a shower. Will probably be down about 1. Hopefully the rain will stay away.

  • Drizzling here now, wind is strong though so might blow through

  • Just about to head down from north. Is it raining there and will races be cancelled if wet?

  • Think I'll head down for about 1 ish and consume some of these "frites"

  • Drizzle has stopped now.

  • aint no drizzle here (200 yards from track)

  • Brightening up now.

For shizzle. Dry at the velodrome, windy and cold, bring blankets.

  • Well that was disappointing to get rained off 1/2 way through. Was good while it lasted. Outdoor events are always a gamble (unless CX)

  • £20 for a scratch and devil race. It's about £1.30 per lap. Not sure I can afford it again anytime soon.

Rain should not be a problem next season as the London Velodrome will be falling over themselves to hold the Good Friday meet, spring omniums, monthly open season events, super series, autumn omniums et all.

    Not.

So sarcasm aside, who won what?

  • Enjoyed watching while it lasted. Nice to see so many faces too.

  • ha!

  • I'm sorry I missed it... I think!
