...just checked, aperture does not form a perfect septagon between *f*3.5 and *f*5.6 (which I, maybe, used to take the picture).
Is this causing the distortion? My understanding would be that the whole picture could not be really sharp if aperture does not form perfectly.
It basically looks like this -
