No. Treat it like a Russian Brass - loads of wells and plenty of fuel!
Good luck.

I'm fucking fuming.
Driving through a car park yesterday afternoon I pull up behind a guy who stops illegally. I pass him (he hadn't left a lot of room) and the passenger behind him opens the door just in time for the edge the door to catch neatly in the shut line of my right rear passenger door.
Lots of noise and a shocked gf later, I pull over and this bloke starts screaming at me. I remained (uncharacteristically) calm and phoned the Police. It is a legal requirement to call the OB regardless of the seriousness/severity of the incident. No injuries, but his passenger door looked like a Pringle and mine is scratched and there's a dent in the rear quarter where the door meets the panel.
OB turns up (young Yemeni kid - as ALL the OB are here) and asks me what happened. As I start to explain what had gone on, the other driver butts in and doesn't appear to want to let me finish my version of events. OB looks him up and down and motions to me to carry on with my explanation regardless.
OB tells me to "take a seat while I write up the report" and the other fella still won't leave him alone. About ten minutes later, OB hands me a piece of paper and says that it clearly wasn't my fault and that the other drivers insurance company will pay for everything. The other driver looks mortified and starts to get very annoyed. OB just shakes his head, gets in his SUV and drives off.
As for this piece of paper, I have no idea what is written on it...
All of this proves the vast grey areas that exist here.

I wouldn't have minded, but the fucker never apologised.

Be thankful the other bloke even stuck around.
Waiting to turn left at a red traffic light on Friday night, as it turns green I pull away and I feel the car bump forward a bit.
Check my rear-view and there's some silly cunt in a 5-series throwing up his hands mouthing 'SORRY!'
I exit the junction stage-left and pull over to inspect for damage, expecting matey to have followed me to do the same. He'd turned right instead (despite being in a left-turn-only lane) and scarpered.
No damage, but the complete rejection of responsibility on his part left me angry for a while.Hope you get your car sorted to your satisfaction.

It's not worth scarpering. There were security cameras everywhere and he could get a custodial sentence or even deported for something so simple.

Goodwood anyone? My son has fallen ill and so I have one adult and one child ticket spare for today.

busy day at the drags (heathcote), lots and lots of cars. only managed 3 runs. started on my old 235 radials
12.4@118 spun the tyres to half track, missed 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear change, lol. still movin so happy.
dropped the tyres pressure down to 17psi, massive burnout. 11.19@124 1.6960ft. not quite full throttle off line, still spun tyres a fraction. 1st and 2nd change good, missed 3rd (need to adjust my shifter) when i finally changed i stabbed full throttle spun tyres at 2/3 track for a bit then pulled like a train through traps.
swapped to 28x9 slicks @ 10 psi cold, had to wait around for 90mins due to oil down. not quite full throttle off line, then squeezed in the power, little wiggle then i found myself heading for the wall on the other lane. miraculously got out of it. mixing the slicks with radial fronts wasn't the best idea in hindsight. so happy to be in one piece so called it quits.
happy with the day overall. engine ran like a champ, stayed cool, no leaks, starts first go, plenty of grunt. use 2/3 tank of e85 in drive to start line, burnout and drive back. just need to sort traction and adjust my shift linkage.

Good save, car looks so stock apart from that filter!
Heading for 10s by the look of it

• #17742
yeah, will stay with radials. for the couple seconds in the 2nd run when i actually got traction at full throttle it really goes.
-
• #17743
Just reread that 2nd pass, if that's low 11s you should have 10s no problem!!
-
• #17744
Good job on the save Dale. Definitely a pantalon maron moment!
Car look and sounds great - got to be a 10.8 when you get it to hook.

HOLY FUCK! there's a few moments in that. Full lock flat in 4th? ooo-er...
Imagine that for 24hrs back in the day.

He's definitely putting on a show for the audience, I'd hope he raced with a bit more of a progressive throttle than that.
Any time I drive past a petrol station when it's really raining, my car is like that. Stamp the throttle and the wet diesel spilt all over the road means you can light up the rear tyres at any speed. 1/2 lock at top of 3rd is 'interesting'.

Mahoosive wheels
So they're all currently rolling around the ailses of the call centre in Slough, clutching their sides?
