Sorry, to clarify its a British bb designed to go on in a shell with damaged threads like the one I linked but its about 3mm too small so the whole crankset moved around loads
To clarify further, the bottom bracket you linked to in the OP is for an originally english threaded shell which will have a diameter around 34.8mm - probably a bit more than this now if the threads are knackered/it's ovalised etc.
Your italian bb shell will be 36mm in diameter - again, probably a bit more than this now if the threads are knackered/it's ovalised etc.
Some threadless bottom brackets may be tapered but I wouldn't say the one you linked to is and none of the ones I have dealt with have been either.
I don't know if a 36mm diameter threadless bottom bracket exists but if it does that's what you need.
A quick google search says that the VO threadless bb is of a different design to most and will fit most… Read further and even this one won't fit Italian because of the diameter.
