Just me I guess, I wouldn't want to have to resort to a layback seatpost on a frame I order custom.
Some builders, Pegoretti for example, favour the use of set back posts.
Also Velo did some back to back testing of different manufacturers posts that had a common in line and set back product and found although it varied, the set back post offered more vibration damping than the straight post. Just something to bear in mind ..
