  • Bought these on retrobike for £100, unfortunately the seller didn't exactly disclose the exact condition.. So I would like to recoup £70

Some of the blue ionisation / paint has come of the front hub.
Rims still lovely and blue if you have an obsession for blue as I seem to..
They're in good working condition, just not as "blue" as discribed.
As these were to go on my sunny day showie off bike unfortunately that makes them surplus to requirements..

The tyres and casette have been removed since this photo..
The photo also doesn't really illustrate the lack of blue on the front hub,
I will upload a better one tomorrow..

  • here's some more photos to illustrate the condition better..

So the front on its own, as you can see .general all round good condition apart from...

one side of the hub has some paint flaking off, there is absolutely no damage to the integrity of the wheel, this is only paint that has flaked off..

this is the hub from the other side..

and also the rim, as you can see, in good condition.

the back is in very good condition all round, no flaking in the paint and almost no signs of use on the rim, just a little bit of residude from the previous brake pads..

These are some really great wheels, I've actually been very impressed, but they're surplus to requirements at the moment.

They're sealed baring hubs, super smooth.

Could be a great set of wheels for a period build or a winter training bike.

    Thanks

  • he would you split, would like to buy the frontwheel!

  • OMG! Velocio - quick ! Blue photos!

  • ^^ oddly I also have another front wheel spare, pm me and I'm sure we can sort something..

  • Interested: does the freehub take Shimano or Campag-fitting cassettes? I'll do some research, but thought you might have the answer at your fingertips.

  • Would these fit a Charge Plug? If so I'll take them

  • ^^Shimano casette, 130mm

^They would fit a Charge Plug ie 700c wheels, however aren't Plug's Single Speed? I imagine you're currently running a 1/8th chain on a single freewheel sprocket.
You could convert these using spacers http://www.velosolo.co.uk/shopsingle.html but these probably aren't the simplest solution.

  • PM sent!

  • Yeah it's single speed but don't really want to be messing about with spacers. Cheers anyway.
