  • I am in for Saturday morning but will meet you here http://goo.gl/maps/6gWnr instead.

  • Good stuff. Do you have a time in mind?

  • Around 09.00?

  • I can't make Saturday, but if anyone fancies doing this on either Tuesday the 24th or Wednesday the 25th then let me know.

I've some additional loops in mind too.

  • Around 09.00?

Can do that, but will either be riding my XC bike or the wife's crosser, the later of which will likely be a touch too small for me.

If we start later, say 10/11am there's a chance I could be sporting the new cross rig. And what better way to test it.

    Interested, for sure.

I will confirm if I can start at 10/11am later on.

  • Cheers :)

  • I am good for a later start. Let me know what time you can be in West Wickham.

  • I'll aim for 10.30 - anything later and we'll be out all day.

  • Is anyone racing the Wessex League race in Oxford on Sunday? I am hoping that my bike handling skills will get me through the race, it sure as hell won't be my fitness!

And looking at the weather forecast all I can say is 'Bring on the mud' !!!

  • Possible - would like to get a race in this weekend, and the weather is looking truly hideous making schlepping it to Deal less attractive.

  • Yes should be racing Wessex, the course isnt too technical. The steep banks should be fun after all the rain.

  • Funny, I don't remember the three pimples ride being quite so ruinous. Lots of sand.

Cheers Hyperbole for the ride - I can certainly feel the nettles now!

  • Can you chuck me over the GPX file Howard?

  • Thanks for the company howard, your new bike is awesome.

  • Hah yeah - gonna need some sintered brake pads for the next time though. So. Much. Sand.

  • tl;dr

will join you at the end of this month or start of next, just marking this thread.

Say Hi if you see me, I will be riding an orange Kona bike, most likely at the back of the senior group, my legs are wrecked from riding over some tough Welsh hills today, plus I am a Vetran, although refuse to race in the vetrans race as it is so short....

Me too. Now that the madness of moving house is subsiding.

  • The better half giving it some welly down the embankment this afternoon.

I spent a lot of time cleaning / repairing and tuning the bike after yesterday's baptism of fire.

  • Recon I could make a sub €100 CX bike?
