Light mounts - any interest?

Hi guys,

With the dark nights and mornings coming in I've knocked up a light mounting boss to attach to my Portland Design Works front basket, it just screws onto a M5 boss with a standard cap head screw.

I'm really happy with mine and wondered if it would be something other forum members would be interested in?

I can make them in 31.8mm or 26mm diameter and they can be fitted onto rack mounts, mudguard mounts or any other M5 hole on your bike.

They are 3D printed using a PC/ABS material and are pretty bomb proof.

I can easily do them in black or white material.

If there is interest I was thinking about £7.50 plus postage but might be flexible on the price.

rack mounts, mudguard mounts or any other "threaded" M5 hole on your bike.
Or a big road between Exeter and Birmingham

Would screw into a mudguard boss and allow you to fit a light that would normally fit to your handlebars.

What's an M5, boss?

An M5 cap head screw... the type of screw that is used to fit bottle cages, mud guards, racks, etc.

Here's a couple of pictures of my first prototype fitted to my basket. This on is 31.8mm and weighed around 70g.

The new versions will be stronger and lighter.

The pictures aren't the best but you get the idea..... will post pictures taken in daylight today!

First batch ready to send out, I have two options on bolt length.

Either 10mm of thread showing, good for mounting on an eyelet that is also used by a rack leg or mudguard leg.

5mm of thread showing which would be good for an eyelet that doesn't have anything else mounted on it.

Can any future orders can add this detail to the list please.

Also I would love it if you could send me some pictures of the parts mounted on your bike when you receive them or even better post it in this thread.

First 2 sets in the post today, I just stuck in both longer and short bolts just in case.
