I want it more than anything!!! Clearly they need to bring this to market purely to satisfy my own selfish needs!

My cx frame is not made with droputs for ss, so im thinking about riding with a spring ss chain tensioner. Will that be enough to hold the chain in place?

no.

ghost sprocket ftw!

...belt drive...missplaced chain ring...two gear cogs...my brain has fried...must ride asap in some mud...

ghost sprocket ftw!
Tried that trick on my chopper for Clunker Classic 2012.
It fell out after a few minutes and I had to wrap the chain around the seatstay and coast down instead.

Ok so I have put together a ratty pompino to do a couple of local races, anyone recommend a choice of tyres, better value would help!

dunno yet, this is my first foray into racing, not even seen a course before but as it will be down the road thought it might be a laugh! I do have some Conti speed kings that came on my Genesis but they are fairly worn- thought that might work on the front but thinking I need more grip on the rear esp single speeding. Will need to be about 32mm too to fit between the stays and shed the mud.

It might be if you use one of the chainrings from this lot and use a heck of a lot of spring tension.

Evening all, new to the forum (ex singletrackworld dweller but don't hold that against me & I don't MTB anymore!)
Anyway, I'm currently looking for a SSCX to replace my MTB. Unfortunately as I'm a noob on here I can't post a wanted advert. I'm after a 58-60cm full build, something like a genesis day1, Pompino etc would be great. I'm based in the midlands but pick up no problem.
Budget is tight £200 ish but don't need pedals ;-)
Anyone got anything ? Many thanks, Simon -

For the poor - the PreCursa can fit a 35c continentalCX tyre at the rear, then you need to find a second hand/scrap 1⅛ fork with canti studs and you are pretty much rolling - not at the highest speed in deep mud (more clearence wanted), but YOU ARE ROLLING!

Awesome!
Would make a great winter bike at least...
