  • if she doesn't respond, open a dispute with paypal outlining what's happened. They should side with you and give you you're money back. Also once you've opened the dispute it will take the money out her account/freeze it in paypal, so she's more likely to do something about it.

    I have to go through the eBay process to get a block on her funds. I contacted her through the official dispute thing last week and asked for a refund, she's not responded so on Friday I'll escalate it to the eBay buyer protection/resolution centre thing. They'll give a response 'within 48 hours'...

    From eBay:
    "If you've received an item that wasn't as described, we'll usually help you return it to the seller and then refund you."

    It's the 'return it to the seller' bit. I'm hoping the 'usually' suggests that they might be flexible.

    But as was said, hopefully she'll see the official 'you have to refund all this money' email and realise she'd be better off just meeting me in the middle.
