  • How do we even know that you've raised a single penny for charity, and aren't just selling off ridiculously shit attempts at making a lock holster?

DO YOU EVEN HAVE AN UNCLE NAMED X?

  • are you the professional that stitched these, cut the mustaches and stapled them on?

  • Malcom X

  • Buy some better symmetrical fake mustaches, and never return to the tailors you went to again, they look a shambles.

  • You have 47cm deda chrono bars.... lets just leave it at that.

  • Right now I have better things to do sure, but it's just started raining.

Now just a bit more feedback, the stitching looks much better, but the finishing/cutting of the material is what's letting you down now, along with the staple.

Get some very sharp scissors, tailoring scissors would be best but new/well looked after sharp kitchen scissors should do it. Tidy up all the rough ends with one clean cut, then use a lighter to seal them.

Now, remove the staples, and ask your mum/dad/imaginary brother to show you a loop stitch. A couple of these each side should attach the tashes neatly, staples don't tend to last when used in place of stitches and the tashes will end up falling off.

Then, work out which locks they will take, as a FAGH won't necessarily fit the the same holster as a mini 3/5/7...

... and sure, all the above might sound alot of effort for something you're "giving away" for charity. But it's not, take pride in what you're producing and you'll make more money for the cause.

A last point, biting your tongue before offering strangers out on the internet might be wise as well, because not only is it a bit childish, but it's not winning you any friends here.

  • pshhh mate im not looking for 'friends' here tbh i'm just trying to do something decent for charity. They don't know me, so perhaps they should be more careful before slagging of strangers?

All due respect man, but I think that's what you fail to see here. It IS a community of friends on here, so regardless of whether you have good intentions or not, you've approached these people in a relatively aggressive manner and they retaliated as such. "They" should be careful? Why? Do you have something nefarious in mind? If anything, It's you who should be patient and careful, as you're got far more to lose here. Look at it this way, you're trying to sell lock holsters, to a community of cyclists....who are most likely to use them!! Do you not think they'll be critical/scathing?

  • cool fair enough Chak. So you telling me the thousands of members on this forum all know each other and are all 'friends'?

Quite a lot of us know each other IRL, yeah... Just simmer down and be cool...

Good luck with the whole thing, I hope you make a ton of money...

  • But yeh TM ill bear in mind the advice for the next lot of holsters cheers

and i only retaliated because of the lack of disrespect people have for my uncle and my cause. if they dont like the product then why are they showing interest on the thread

This is true. There has been no disrespect shown towards your uncle or your cause.

  • cool fair enough Chak. So you telling me the thousands of members on this forum all know each other and are all 'friends'?

    pretty much, yeah.

  • cool fair enough Chak. So you telling me the thousands of members on this forum all know each other and are all 'friends'?

    Yes. Here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread1773-1200.html

also Chak... if you were in my situation would you accept that from this apparent community of friends

Regardless of whether I should or shouldn't, criticism will be voiced. The issue here is they ARE you target market, and going in guns blazing isn't going to win you any favours. I'm not you, I'm in no position to agree with their opinions or not, I'm just telling it like it is.
Who else likes/has (Ironic) facial hair and rides crazy angled bikes with locks they refuse to stick to their bikes but do instead to their belts?

  • Sumo was a friend until he failed to turn up to my BBQ
