This powder coated frame came into my possession via a commuter tank I had build by Bikology in Leeds about three years ago. I was running it with a Sturmey archer RFX-8 hub, then ran it fixed, then replaced the frame altogether. I spoke to Adam from the shop and he said “erm…..its probably a Raleigh, I can’t remember, but it ain’t Reynolds or anything, pretty sure”.
What it does have going for it is that it powder coated a nice matt black and would probably be a good starting point for a super cheap beater.
Its 58cm square and has track drop outs.
Rear spacing is 130mm
Frame number appears to be WB2002921 which makes me think it is a Raleigh, but I’m sure its not, repeat, not Reynolds steel.
Seatpost diameter is a bit of a mystery. Seems to be about 26mm as I’ve just failed to stick in a post that I know to be 27.2mm. Can throw in the zoom seat post pictured (clamp will need fixing with Loctite or something as the seat gradually slides back). Can throw in an old BB (note the rusting in the frame here).

Cough….um…..£30 collected from either Leeds or Bradford? Could post but not worth the expense I guess?
