After the fish and chips I met my friend and had a couple of beers and caught the 7.00 pm train. I arrived home at 12.30am due to train breakdowns and missed connections! 106 miles with all the transfers on top of the ride. Up at 5.00 to do a car boot with my daughter and then to a birthday picnic. Now I'm heading off to the land of nod.
It must be 35 years since I've done anything over 30 miles on fixed, but I'm amazed that I feel ok and my knees are working.
Thanks for the great route and leading John. Ian thanks for towing me in the last few miles to the beach. A real gentleman.
Although I'm not London based I always enjoy the eclectic mix of forum members and the friendliness shown to strangers.

A pleasure to ride with you all.
