Guionnet Cycles

  • Anyone had any experience with these? My husband has just purchased one, but I can't find any info beyond the fact that there's a shop with the same name in the south of France, near Toulouse. But I can't figure out whether it's a coincidence, or they were building and/or rebranding frames, or what.

  • The only Guionnet I've heard of is with this spelling: Guyonnet ,
    that's vintage.
    Complete name: Bonnet&Guyonnet
    brand name, Daring,
I hope a few suffragettes used them on their way to demonstrations.
There's a shop by that name.

  • Hmm, thanks... it's definitely Guionnet though.

I don't know if it helps, but I took a few photos of the decals, on the downtube, headtube, seat tube, and seat stays respectively.

  • There's a former racer from the 70's:
    Michel Guionnet from that area.
The shop must be related to him in some way.
I've found only 2 pictures of frames bearing his name .
