On a steel frame, spreading the frame 2mm in each direction is no problem. Remove the wheel and the stays will probably just bounce back to 126mm. I've used both 126 and 130mm wheels in vintage frames with no issues.

that's a relief. thank you on the info :) the rear derailleur i pat. 82, so i guess it will work nice with a 6 speed Regina (Everest) freewheel. Am i correct?

130mm spacing began to appear once we went past 6 speeds. But as said above, it doesn't really matter.
I just bought a Colnago Super which appears to date from the late 80's. And i'm a little bit confused. It is full Campy NR/SR except for the rear wheel hub , which is an 8 speed Dura Ace. I measured the distance between the rear stays and it seems to be 130mm (didn't take the wheel off , but i'm pretty sure i measured it right). Did the after-1986 Super models use this kind of spacing? Or has it been spreaded by the previous owner(s) ? I want to buy a rear Record hub and i dont know what to do, which hub size to go for or if i should get the stays back to 126mm...
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
