I recently picked up the well known bright yellow track frameset+stem with cinelli stickers from uoeno (who got it from chokalateboywonder who got it from jantrit who got it from sukidayo2).
The idea for my first fixie build was a budget winter commuter to begin with, and then to upgrade beater parts when the nicer weather comes back around.
I didn't want to be spending more than £200 all together really, so as soon as I bought the frameset (which was kindly picked up and held for by HPx93 until I was back in the country) I got to work hunting down the forums for everything else I needed.
By the time my frame was posted to me I had already bought:
BLB bullhorn bars
Turbo leather saddle
Cheap Dawes crankset
Condor > Mavic MA3 rear fixed wheel
BLB track front hub
Straps for BMX pedals
And then since I've had the frame with me I've bought some cheap and cheerful 28C Vittoria's for the winter rides as well as some new tape for the bars.
HPx93 was nice enough to send me an old front brake he had along with the frame when he posted it to me, and I already have an old Dirty Harry lever and a random cable lying around so that's the stopping sorted.
So this is how it's currently looking sat in my conservatory:
I want it to look as clean as possible so I've been busy painting a few silver bits to join the rest of the black parts which I've been collecting up.
At the moment I'm just waiting for a seatpost from someone here and a big chainreaction order full of everything else I need to complete the build. With any luck it will be here today so I'll try to post some pictures when it does and then I'll be busy tomorrow building it all up!
