Interesting. When I first picked up the bike I took a 27.2 Thomson to exchange with the Zoom suspension post that was fitted. The post would not fit in the seat tube and the existing post was definitely 27.0. I don't know about the provenance of he frame or its build, but I am pretty certain the post fits. I recalled Prav's snapped seat tube junction so have always taken great care to ensure the bottom of the seat post sits well below the lug on the seat tube - fear not! Not being able to extend it further is the main reason the bike doesn't fit me. I have just checked the alignment and the post is definitely in line and totally secure.
