I recently went through a bunch of articles on factory recalls etc from forks snapping. They rarely ever snap because of actual rider load over the cockpit etc but from hitting stuff front on developing micro cracks that widen over time. And also being scuffed around in travel bags packed wrong so taking the fork out of the frame when travelling helps
