  • Fair enough. It's just upsetting enough to see another road death and someone having a leg amputated on the same day :(

  • Like a boss!

  • Nerged for making me cry at my desk

(not that it seems to take much these days, tbh)

  • Waiting All Night feat. Ella Eyre (Official Video) - OUT NOW - YouTube
The first time I saw this video I welled up at the end.

That isnt actually how he lost his leg but he's a fighter for going through what he did.

  • Bloody music videos portraying themselves as documentaries.

Next you'll tell me that Michael Jackson isn't really a zombie.

  • he might be now actually.

  • There is some unnecessary and misplaced discussion in the latest Rider Down thread.

    and above

  • Deleted that one. If there are others, let us know.

  • Post 41 and Charlie's response that quotes it.

  • Thanks Cliveo.
I've edited post 41 to remove the discussion and deleted the post which quoted it.

  • Thanks Em. Really saddened by today's news.

  • "Would it be morbid to have a London fatalities ticker on the forum? Not wanting to put anyone off cycling but it seems that there are more nasty accidents than ever.

Ignore or delete this if it's a bad idea."

"What about national? I know it started off as London but this is a national hub really..."

"I think that turns the fatalities into stats. There are enough stats, the one thing that really set the Rider Down forum apart and LFGSS is how each is responded to as a person that has died, and not as a number that has incremented."

    "^this"

Allegedly Joseph Stalin once said, "A Single Death is a tragedy; a million deaths is mere statistics."

While in fact there is no evidence to suggest that Stalin ever said this, presuming for the sake of argument that he actually did, an utter and complete cunt as the bastard might have been, on this occasion he was right.

  • Like I said, no evidence...

  • ChrisMGS has been banned for breaching the classifieds rules.

He was warned multiple times, and actually made an acknowledgement on the last occasion that he had understood the rules and would not break them again.

  • shit, really. i think i put him up in the Good Traders thread previously. now he has made us both look cunts

  • Think I did the same :'(

All in the same boat Jonny

  • ^ solidarity brother

  • He's probably still a good trader, you'll just have to dirty your soul with singletrackworld to buy stuff.

  • I might reverse the decision.

The problem wasn't the goods or quality of trade, the problem was simply the cross-posting of adverts elsewhere.

He assures me the problems root is that you can't delete or edit anything on SingleTrackWorld, which means when he doesn't sell things there and then advertises here (with a post on STW saying no longer on sale there)... it always looks like he breaks the rules.

I agree with him on that, but perhaps, since he can close threads and edit things here... he should do it the other way round and sell here first, and if they fail to sell then edit out from here and take to STW.

Anyhow, speaking to him about it.

  • kill em all, let god sort out the innocent

This is a valid point, the nature of STW classifieds (threads don't bump) mean that if you don't repost your thread every 24hrs and it slips past about page 3, no one will be looking at it, so I suppose you could consider a thread that's older than 2 days over there to be inactive

  • These look similar (again).
