This has taken a long time to get round to listing. I've looked at it a lot but that's about it!
At 57cm it's always been a bit too big for me and doesn't get used half as much as it should.
The group is a bit of a mish mash of campag 8 9 10 speed. This is the main reason for splitting. I will explain in further detail below.
If someone wanted to make an offer for the full bike this could be discussed. Bars are cinelli with the beautiful ornate shield engraving, stem is cinelli. Brooks bar tape 300 miles old (1 snapped cork bar end). Saddle is Laser in supercorsa shape, perforated black leather. Pedals are Shimano 600 with metal replacement cages.
Frame.
£165 now £145 / With Athena headset £190 now £170 / Inc campag BB also £200 now £180 / Inc Gipiemme fluted seatpost £215.
Diamant Columbus EL (Extra Light) 57cm seattube c-t, 56cm top tube c-c
Braze on on bottom of top tube for race number. This was a pure race pedigree frame in its day.
'D' pantographed fork crown.
The frame is fully chromed under all paintwork.
Paintwork is chipped/has peeled in places. Worst around the headtube but you can see shiny chrome underneath. No dents/dings.
Chrome has light pitting in some places. Notably on the rear stays.
Small rust spots on chrome- in nooks of lugs. Will update with photos.
The frame was built with internal cable routing on the top tube, however when I bought it the cable was seized in there so I have had to use cable guides along the top tube. These will be included with the frame.
Campagnolo Athena/Chorus 9s Groupset £145 now £130
Athena chainset 175mm with 10 speed rings (Works fine with 9s setup.)
Athena brake calipers
Chorus 9s ergolevers a bit scratched but work perfectly.
Athena 9s rear mech
Chorus Front mech
9s cassette in good, clean condition (Can add photos)
KMC sl x9 chain covered approx 300 dry miles.
All campagnolo cables included covered approx 300 dry miles.
Wheels Campagnolo 8s on Mavic Gel 280 tubs £95 now £85
Not sure which model hubs they are, 8s cassette fitting. Post c-record. (I have a 9s cassette which fits 8s hub body. Not included, just to illustrate how this setup worked!)
Campag front skewer. Replacement unmarked rear skewer.
Mavic Gel280 super light rims. Front rim has super minimal brake wear. Rear has silver marks showing through the ceramic coating on one side only in patches as often seen on ceramic rims. These rims weigh 280g a piece and are super easy on the eye too!
Continental giro tubs, covered approx 60 miles. The front could have been mounted better, it has a little wave in it but rides fine, I'm just being upfront. Tubs are cemented on with conti cement. These were £30 60 miles ago.
Viewing/test rides available in SE14. Can post parts at cost.
