I'd say ride in a merino base enough to build a light sweat on a mild day, and stop to stand around a bit. You wont notice anthing.
Do the same in a synthetic and the chills start setting in.
From around about now, till next spring, both my kids will be wearing full merino for this reason. Nothing else has such a broad comfort zone in terms of both temperature and dry/wetness.
I cant smell my own stench anyway.
