Think how I feel: moving house in either 1 or 4 weeks (depending on agent). Tools are at my dad's in Blofield, frame is at girlfriend's place in Norwich, parts are here... And my Fuji is still crumbling away on the commute, ready to snap at any moment.

I was actually thinking that the other day. I've shot myself in the foot a little bit, because the Fuji was my all-weather, use-and-abuse bike. Now this is going to be a bit too nice to treat like that. Maybe I'll just buy an old beater for winter, or bring the Thorn back from the dead for a few months.

That's very tempting. I could just buy a cheap wheelset to pop on it. I noticed a scary little blemish on the cranks yesterday, which is annoying - don't trust them now either! Then I'd probably put Omniums on the Big Block...

I've got Phil hubs and Mavic rims (recently trued by the fine folks at August Wheelworks), but Campagnolo Record Pista cranks. Think I'll be getting the tourer back on the road for winter - it's currently in the work lock-up with 5mm of weird dust all over it, two flat tires and brake pads full of grit that go NANANNARHGHHGHGGH when you try to slow down.

So I'll be looking for new cranks for the All City. Recommendations?

105 cranks with 130bcd USE track ring is a good external BB setup.
