  • When you simply regulate a watch, ie. set the rate such that it is as close as possible to +/- 0s per day, you will find that the rate actually alters depending on the orientation of the watch, eg. crown pointing up, crown pointing down, etc.

    So, on fancy watches, they adjust the movements to minimise these variances in different positions, and you end up with a watch which keeps really consistent time.

    So far I think it's consistently gaining about a second a day. Which I think is ok for an automatic isn't it?
