  • Nah just fill the space between the hub and rim with metal hoops/rings.. Heavy as fk but would look insane.. :-)

  • A different interpretation of the 'aero' frame, that's for sure. What is the equivalent geomentry?

    Oooooo I like your thinking!!!!

  • Geometry is same as my '71 Calton road bike.

  • needs these wheels

  • Poor ESB..

  • I think it's fake.

    I can see pixels.

  • I've seen several pictures of this, some with a guy holding it. I think it's real, but not rideable, no chain etc.

Unless you think mine is fake? I invite you to come and try it :-)

  • The difference is that the ones in the link above all have rims.

I don't think, that without the rims, the wheels could actually function.

  • Sounds like a challenge.

  • Spent a bit of time on the frame yesterday. The welding is very, very nearly done :-D
I estimate another 3 hours of grinding the welds down and polishing. Then it's final assembly and, RIDE!!! :-D

  • Bike now finished :)

Unfortunately, due to me about to go self employed, I need to sell it :(

  • That's amazing! How long did it take? Do you have easy access to laser cutting machinery? Whenever I've looked into it it has been stupidly expensive for one-off jobs.

Can't wait to see the next one.

  • Thanks
Yes I do have access to both tube lasers and flat bed lasers. However this is ending soon as I'm about to leave.

  • ha ha. looks redonkulous! love it.

  • Probably not a lot considering the work that went into making it... but still!!!

  • art bike or bike tart...

  • maybe some museum notices it and you'll get famous and even more rich.

  • Some "wild bike" collector out there will pick it up and consider it a steal.

  • Gaston seatpost...

Totally.. I know a guy who has cleared a space just for it...

  • £3500? I know. I don't really want to sell it, so it would have to be a decent amount like this to reflect both the time and effort that went into it. Yesterday I quit my job, so I'm sure sensible offers would be very carefully considered! I have used the bike for about 20 miles or so and love the attention it gets! :-)

  • Gaston seatpost...

Can you educate me and explain what a Gaston seatpost is?
