I'm not making light of it, it's just that it's such a constant presence in the factory, a very angry atmosphere focusing, sometimes, on women.

Just tried accessing this over the "public" (not BYOD) wifi at work; I think the service is run in collaboration with BT.

"Access might be restricted to some websites where the content is considered unsuitable to view in a public environment."

Not sure whether I'm surprised that such a filter is in place, or that your tales are considered unsuitable!

It was well observed and written, but I think it could only be part of bigger piece pulling out the issues.

As it was it could have been deeply humiliating to the entirely blameless person stuck in the middle of it, should they ever have read it.

Still, made me think and if I'm honest feel pretty uncomfortable in my shoes. The underlying issues run pretty deep.

Annnnd....I'm off to the memes thread to look at pictures of cats for a while.

Thanks Gizmorat. I've not had a story go quite that spectacularly wrong before, and to have posted it without properly looking at it again was a massive mistake. Fucking lazy of me.

My focus was on the blokes, but the story ended up tilting in a horrible way at women, and sounded deeply misogynistic when I re-read it.

That feedback is extremely helpful, Gizmorat. I'll work on the story again, make it longer, cut the shit out of it.
