Unfortunately you'd still have to have another CRB check even if you were (for example) a teacher. The checks are organisation specific, and everyone who will be working (including temporary staff, volunteers, etc) with children would need to have the check done.
This isn't actually the case, I think. From when I've needed it for work, as long as non-CRB staff are supervised at all times by a CRB'd staff member it is okay. Not sure how far you could push the ratio, but we've certainly done 1:1 fine
