Frame number lists are not that reliable.
Especially when it comes to special frames like 753, cross, track, tandem, etc. (fully individually built, one off).
Better compare your frame with the pics in the catalogues (braze-ons, decals, frame parts).
And perhaps your bike has a newer replacement fork (e.g. crash, warranty). -

I have an '89 Gazelle.
Getting it re-coated at LSN in a few weeks then I'll post a pic.I know a guy witha sticker printer thing so if I ever find out what its worth, if anything, I can spray it back to the pink it was.

post a pic now and we'll advise you if it needs re painting
it's always a shame to see classics being re painted ... it may well be totally scratched and rusty but even then there is something nice about keeping the original paintjob -

is that the driveside chainstay?
i reckon you could get yourself a chrome chainstay protector like so:
sand underneath to stop the rust: result.. -

I won this one on Ebay, paying £375 - did I do OK?
And does anyone know much about the components on it (Mavic chainset, Modolo brakes)? Not that I'm looking to swap anything out but wondering how good a match to the frame they are, quality and period-wise. Am I right in thinking the frame is very late 80s?
gazelle aa super ... no wishbone stay though
tonyme possibly your size although might be a bit big -

all the parts look very nice
mavic starfish cranks are very nice in my eye .... if the rest of the groupset is mavic you've got a real bargin -

Thanks, dicki. Haven't arranged collection of it yet, but looking forward to putting some miles in once I do have my hands on it...

The decal style (old font, single band of world champion stripes) suggests it's 1986-7ish.

Must be a quite early AA-Super, but repaired after the wishbone and/or the seat tube have separated/cracked.
It has cable stoppers near the BB-shell and a braze-on on top of the down tube. That was only the case in the first one or 2 years or so, when the frames had wishbone seat stays.
Later, the derailleur cables went below the BB shell and some time after, the wishbone was replaced by regular twin stays. -

I recently bought this Gazelle from a Dutch seller and was hoping to get some additional info on the frame.
Turned out the seller is Frits Hoogerheide, who rode with Rinus Wagtmans for Willem II
http://www.dewielersite.net/db2/wielersite/coureurfiche.php?coureurid=9178Now this frame has some edges, he said he asked Rini about the frame and he tolded him, that is was custom made. It has this huge outside lugged rear dropouts, which I only found on 731 OS frames, but the rest of it looks more like AA Special built.

Farme waarschijnlijk columbus buis
Any additional info would help! Thx!

Hi! I'm new here, been scouring this thread for info while slowly growing a little obsession with Gazelles..
Can someone help identify this Gazelle frame for me? It's a long way away by train from me but I can pick it up Sunday if it seems worth it..
Sorry for the poor quality pics, it's all the seller had. Apparently her father's, been in the attic for a few years.
