That's real nice. Perfect city basher bike.

Cheers, it's really good fun.
It might be getting a disc brake this winter but I'm still unsure.

Nice bike, I have a friend whose brooklyn i fitted with a wound up disc cross fork. He is pleased, works great all year around. Might be an option for winter?

Ooh got pics?
I won't have the cash for a woundup so will likely just get a cheaper CX fork.

Ah poor pic edited in previous post. No they are hard to find for good prices. We had a few for sale a couple of years ago when i was working in a shop for something like 180 which was good, esp for shop prices.

This was for sale but i've decided to keep it and build it up instead. Needs wheels, flite, nitto drops and probably 75s.

So .. jealous. Start a thread by any chance? :) REALLY excited for this build.

Thanks, I wasn't sure it would be interesting enough for its own thread!

Whaaat? You're craazy, that build is more interesting than mine! -
• #81762
There is allready a thread for that frame :P, you could just continue in there haha.
-
• #81763
is it 1"? if so i need a pair of those forks
-
• #81764
Yeah those are some 4za Ellypse 1" track forks, undrilled.
-
• #81765
I wouldn't mind changing them for straight steels with a threaded headset and quill stem, although that's quite a pricey conversion.
-
• #81766
please trade them with me in that case :P
-
• #81767
The steel fork and quill stem conversion would probably look great on that frame though. I did it to my Fort a few months ago and I'm very happy with it.

That setup really works well on your bike, its very close to what I had in mind.

Needed some bartape for Donobru since it donated it's cockpit to the Corima...
Love this frame/build so much, hadn't ridden it for a while due to being away and busy. Daiyum it's good.
.. and the Corima (sorry if repost can't remember if posted it...)
..although just realised have changed the saddle on the batbike since this photo.

... should note, had that bartape laying around. Can't decide if awesome or awful
Don't think I've posted road bike in current setup either..
great setup, but TT is a little too long. Also need to lower stem a bit, got some new shoes and they have about a cm less stack than my old ones.
Bought this to replace the Dolan...
...2 and a half months ago, but been so busy with other more pressing projects and commitments haven't got round to rebuilding it yet.
Was meant to have time for it yesterday but spent the day fucking about with a bike for the gf's dad.

I can't believe you've owned that Mercian for 2.5 months without building it up. Also, the batbike is growing on me in its current incarnation.

Sell me that aerospoke and put some deepness on the back.
Damn people with their aerospokes. -
• #81773
I'll have a think about the aerospokk....
Well yeah, been very busy and still enjoying riding the Dolan. Howver I could really do with the cash from selling the Dolan as I'm poor, but never seem to have time & energy to get the parts moved over. Soon!
.. oh and yeah, the batbike is fucking mint. Rode it to the pub on Monday, best ride to the pub ever.
On the way home though 2 seperate incidents of chavs shouting "dat biek is sickkk"...
...might have to sell it, or just make sure I got earphones in when riding it.
