Yeah, they are. -

Damn, if you haven't sold them by next week I might be interested in a swap for some Colnago star forks.

Cheers Indra. Us under 18's gotta stick together against these oldies. Could be; will get out the tape measure tomorrow. -

Don't get rid of the alpinas unless you have to because they are quite hard to come by in 1inch, get them drilled if you can

Definitely this.

Edwardes of camberwell should be able to do it for a good price or you could set them aside for track or whatever and find some other 1" forks.
I have no problem looking around the shop I'm at to see if there's a cheap pair. -

Perfect, I'll visit them probably tomorrow. Camberwell is only 3 miles away.

You're 15 and 5'11? You're going to be *at least * 15 foot.

Also forgot to mention there are a number of paint chips on the top tube (as you can see in the pictures) due to previous owner's friends. (I guess that is why the frame was relatively cheap). Will post some pictures of the frame in the sun to really display the "glittery gold" effect.

Just measured the frame; 57cm square. Knew the frame was slightly smaller than the 58cm advertised.

**Update - ** My brother and I spent the better half of the night installing some components; we were able to install all of the components .. except the chain. We were unable to install a cheap bmx chain due to some messed up links. So we have decided to buy a brand new chain - a track one this time.
(Currently weighs 7.5kg)

Will try Brixton cycles tomorrow; anyone else know bike shops that could/would drill carbon track forks around the South East area?

Would you not just look into getting a clamp on brake?
Hello all, I have started my second and final build (for a while);
An older version of the modern day Pre Cursa we all know and love .. well most of us. I must say for a 58cm it looks very small, I may have to measure the frame to confirm my suspicions. I am 5'11 at the moment. It would've made more sense to buy a 56cm frame but this bike is going to be a permanent ride and since I'm still a growing teenager (15 years to be exact), I thought it best to go for a slightly bigger frame in case I grow any taller.
I plan to have all black components; seatpost, saddle, crankset, front & rear wheel. The frame came with Alpina carbon forks un-drilled so I may either have to have them drilled or swap them for a pair of drilled carbon forks.
The frame is lighter than the 55cm "Cinelli" frame I bought a few weeks ago. Here are some pictures of the frame as bought today.
