Hey guys, thanks for all your nice comments about my bike.
To answer your questions; it's Campag Athena Groupset, the wheelset is Royce hubs laced to Ambrosio rims, the bars are Soma Highway one, and the bottle cage is Arundel stainless. -

I've had a Mercian for a while now, and it just keeps getting better and better. I made some unusual design choices with it*, so it doesn't really look like most Mercians -- it's not the prettiest but it is the nicest bike I've ever ridden.
*Pro-lugless 853 pro-team oversize tubing, grey, no banding or anything, sloping top-tube.

Plurabelle, lets see some pictures. It sounds good. I would like to build something similar in the future, the sort of thing Rourke do really well, modern steel road frames.

With the saddle set very far forward, it's probably not as small as you think.
Moved it back after that pic ed! That was is first ride!

Yes, that was the idea. I wanted a modern road bike, but steel, and it's worked really well (though, as I said, I think some people would disagree: it's not your classic Mercian beauty). I'll dig some out when I'm back in the city.
EDIT: I have this one, before I built it up (ie none of these bits are necessarily the ones I built it up with or in the right position etc). With thanks to Mike at push....

Looks really nice plurabelle.
I bet it rides really sweet and probably looks great built up. -
• #221
Thanks! I've only really ridden it round Norfolk lanes; I think toe overlap might be a slight problem in the city. But I love it.

That's really nice. I look forward to seeing it built up.

Does this shrink to link due to photo being too big?

Spotted: On the south circular this morning at 8:45, heading east at East Sheen > Upper Richmond Road, a really nice metallic green Mercian with red&white barber's pole. Fixed, I think. On here?
That is a very pretty bike indeed.
Could you do a break down of the parts?
