Sapim and DT hex nipples should work nicely upside down, would still need washers but there's no screwdriver slot to spoil your fun.
Sapim make proper inverted nipples but their distribution sucks balls; would still be worth asking a shop to source you a box of 100 before paying nearly $1 each for nips!
