You can run a freewheel even on a fixed/foxed wheel.

anyone ever replace the stock 6001 bearings in the Miche track hubs with angular contact 7001 bearings?

I just received my wheelset, and noticed the rear wheel does not have any Miche or Primato branding (no stickers, etc.)

It's just a plain silver hub.

Is this correct? Can somebody please check and advise? I expected a sticker in the middle, and Miche Technologies stamped on the sides.

what I am about to ask is totally matter of opinion, so be nice. I would like to build a completely black bike and since it's not really practical - there is always some sliver bits sticking out somewhere... I have been in 2 minds with what wheels to get, shall I go for black rims with black spokes with the unavoidable silver braking surface, or shall I go for silver rims and silver spokes so the machined braking surface is sort of not as noticeable? Varno, what is your professional opinion on this matter??

Well. If you use unmachined they will eventually mark up and look scratchy. So if you want good brakes over good looks go unmachined.

the thing is I have done that before and I always had that fear that the rim might just break due to the wear and tear as you are not meant to use it with brake etc. Any truth in that?

I doubt they will break! Like I said before its down to you if you want the all black look or real good brakes. You could go for either front or rear machine or unmachined.

i went to collect them from the couriers (apc) on friday morning, saw it was another wheelset from v-sprint and assumed it was a mistake so told the courier to send them back. guess they should be with you pretty soon.
