I used to restore bikes as a hobby - this one came from a gentleman who had ridden it on a Lejog and was once his pride and joy. I thought puppy killing was a thing of the past. This makes me genuinely sad.

And I'm not exaggerating.Just seems totally misguided, pointless and at the expense of something really well preserved.

Is that a repair or actually manufactured that way?

The original stays are at the top. The way it has been done to me looks like it was more deliberate than a straight forward repair

the frame have been customised - the seat stay is made from square tubing and its is uniquely wielded as one on top of the other (as picture shown)
and the seat post is silver wielded to the seat tube so NO SEATPOST CLAMP
( unfortunately that means that the frame will only suit people similer to my height 168 or inside leg of 80cm) OR the measurement form the bottom bracket to the top of the seat is 73cmFrom the Ebay ad. Feelsbadman.jaypeg

I've asked a question about this item. Simply states WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS

Especially with 753, which must have required a higher than average level of brazing skill to put together in the first place. Sad times.

Hey everyone. My friend bought this a while back and sadly it's been stolen earlier this week. Obviously a long shot but if anyone spots it he'd be very happy...

What makes you so sure?
Considering the lfgss ad was in the ebay ad, I'm not sure what your line of thinking is. -

I know the guy that sold that monstrosity.
His seatstays were fucked so had that 'job' done on it and rode it like that for quite a while I believe.
I think he just linked to this thread as a way of showing what the frame would have once looked like, he never owned one in top nick like skelator's.
Think it was 54cm also. -
• #44
Well thank fuck for that then!
Repped. -

Yes two different bikes - Skelator sold his to my friend, it's been stolen
