2013-08-17 - Pedestrian Down/Fatality, Catford Road

Just driven back from Crystal Palace and there's a serious incident on Catford Road south towards Catford Gyratory.

Twitter says a woman was knocked down and killed by an M&S lorry (along with some insensitive / gory / horrific comments). No mention of a bike.

Fingers crossed it isn't a fatality but when I passed, there were 6 or 7 police cars and vans along with three rapid response ambulance vehicles. Blue tarpaulin was on the rear left side of the lorry.

Dad just got stuck getting to mine through there. Said it didn't look hopeful.

I just spoke to the police, confirmed pedestrian fatality. The whole of that side of the gyratory is closed off. Thoughts are with family and friends.
