In F1 they'll say 'this component has done 21,000 miles, so it's almost worn out and needs replacing soon' whereas a boatbuilder will say 'this keel's got 21,000 sea miles in it, so you know it's not going to fail' [/CSB]

    Ahh, so the theory has a workable logic behind it. Interesting, though I wonder how that would transfer over to bike parts.
