While here, it's actually more advisable to buy second hand for anything. Think about it; so long as it's not battered, second hand items have been tried and tested! So any failure that could have occurred would have happened while in the possession of the first owner. Buying new means you will be the first to experience any sort of failure as the product is fresh off the conveyor belt. Then again, some would argue against. I apply the same shopping habits of mine from technology to bikes, I buy second hand near mint for a part I will abuse. Then again, I chat a lot of shit.
The lowest profile rims V-Sprint do are 21mm take a ruler out and see. I'm personally a big fan of Box Section rims. Mavic Open Pro, H+Son TB14, Ambrosio Excursion, Araya RS-430 (Mmm!)
