Maybe twitchy is the wrong word. I am looking for something very nimble without being too nervous to enjoy.

you can deffo tell the difference between track/road fork. but as people have said youl get used to whichever one you buy. get the Alpina it looks better.

shorter rake makes nose manuals easier

It will be very nimble and not too nervous with either fork. I run mine with the 30 and it is still very nimble but surefooted (good when trying to keep up with the pedals on bumpy high speed descents)

Got longer stem because I grew few centimeters.
Looks much better. Thought about changing the
frame in winter but with longer stem it looks much
better. -

Anyone got a second hand pre cursa F+F for around 140?

What size?
-

oh sorry I didn't include that; 54cm or 56cm as they don't make odd number sizes.

Can someone enlighten me why there are so many Dolans (specially the pre cursa) with such short stems? Including mine, a lot seem to have stubbies or +10 degree stems.

What's wrong with a positive stem?

Because slavery.

because, at least in smaller sizes, they have longer toptubes than their size suggests

There's nothing wrong with them, they should all just be stomped on, melted into pans then thrown into the sun...

Then I am afraid I do not.

totally. short stem. compact bars.
that geo chart is not accurate at all. -

that geo chart is not accurate at all. This^ I'm riding a 54, so effective top tube is not that much more, so why is my stem so goddamned short. I want to put compact drops, but then their effectiveness is rendered moot because the seat to bar drop is too great!
I'd change it for a 52, but I've ridden 52's before and they've been too small.

Combination of the top tube being closer to 560 than the claimed 545 and the higher BB with average length head tube mean either a lot of spacers or a large seat to bar drop. Higher BBs aren't great for getting a good fit...

^ This.
Bit annoyed with my old one and Dolan's inability to know their frame.

That makes perfect sense! I do remember having to chop a bit of my fork steerer even with same amount of spacers as my old frame.
I guess it's time to start looking at a different frame set. -

or get the Yoga books out and make the body fit the bike...

Is that chart really accurate? pretty whopping difference there in TT lengths between the 58 and 60cm sizes (35mm!). Guess the 1° difference in ST angle mitigates that slightly but still. Normally i'd ride a 60x57/58 track frame but I can't get my mind around the Dolan sizing at all.
Why do you want a twitchy bike, twitchy isn't really a good thing?
The bike will steer and change direction very well with either fork and the minimal differences will be forgotten after one ride, just get the one you think looks best.
