I did post this on ebay a month or so ago, it went for a stupidly low price (maybe i tried to show the condition a little "too" realistically), the person then had the cheek to try to mess me about with postage...
Was it this one that went for £310?

I'd rather not split it yet. If it goes without sale for a couple more days i'll consider it then!

Pics are about a month old, back when it was sunny... The frame, crank, handlebars and front brake have been assembled to create a quick single speed

1) its in bits.
2) the seat post is stuck.
3) The parts are not exactly in good condition.
4) You're asking more than you paid for it, and you want the buyer to collect it in bits.Good luck with the sale.

I didn't buy it off the ebay auction, that was my own auction. This was bought from a bike shop in st albans back 1990 by my granddad who passed it down to me in 2010.
But you're right about the condition and the fact it's in parts... If it is overpriced, it won't sell :)
Cheers anyway -

If split, I'm interested about the frameset.

Just sold after the viewing this morning.
This is a beautiful 1989 (judging by the BB serial number) eddy merckx corsa extra in 7 11 team colors.
It has a few paint chips but no paint bubbling and only surface rust on those areas. There aren't any dents and the frame is very well aligned.

So... Someone just take this bike from me! It's too small for me, and since i've only just started to get back into cycling since a skiing accident 2 years ago, the bike would be wasted on me.
It's currently in parts at the moment as i broke it down to be shipped. I rebuilt it a couple of days ago as my other bike crumbled just before a ride, so it's set up as a single speed right now.
All it needs is someone to retouch the paint chips and i'm sure it could be flipped pretty hard.
Stats:
wheels- campag with shimano 105 hubs (wheels are true, braking surface is useable but pretty worn)
crankset- shimano biopace (sort of elliptical)
rear derailleur- shimano 105
front derailleur suntour? (will check in the morning)
brakes and brake levers- all shimano 105 (will need new brake cables but will include original tubes)
headset- campag
handlebars- cinelli with clear/ivoryish tape
Seatpost- Shimano? I can't get the seat post out... but it's set for someone around 5'7 or 5'8... I'm sure someone with enough strength or a decent vice to remove it with a little effort though.
SOLD SOLD
collection only please, i can meet at cannon street, charring cross or london bridge
As i said about it being partially built... I can get it rebuilt at a local shop before collection if preffered. Otherwise i'd just give it to you as a single speed with a bag of parts!
Cheers for looking, don't hesitate to PM me questions!
pictures to come in the morning!
